Adult Day Service Is
A friendly and nurturing place where trained caregivers provide safety, healthcare, personal care, and meaningful activities for adults who cannot stay home by themselves during the day. Adult day allows a participant's family to work, run errands, or simply take a break. Participants arrive in the morning and go home in the evening.
Adult Day Service is not
A nursing home or assisted living. Taking individuals away from family and leaving them disconnected from the community. It also does not provide in-home care; which leaves individuals feeling isolated.
We provide our participants with therapeutic activities to make sure there’s always something exciting to look forward to at St. Agnes Adult Day Service Center. Group games, arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, music, and other activities replace the feelings of isolation and loneliness. It’s just one of the things that set our center apart from the rest. We’re passionate about providing opportunities for our participants to make new memories and friends while enjoying our services.
Our success is made possible by the dedication and caring spirit of our volunteers. They provide the icing on the cake. In fact, sometimes, they are asked to ice the cake! Volunteers provide an extra special touch. They lead activity programming at the center and help the staff provide one-on-one time. There are varied opportunities, such as clerical, answering phones, or helping guests enjoy the daily activities.
